Where do I begin...

I grew up in a town in Manchester till I was about 9 years old when I then relocated to Dubai. When I moved over to Dubai no one really knew much about its beauty and character so I didn't really expect much, I was just sad that I was leaving my friends.

​

8 years later I grew to love Dubai and called it my home. Whist I was over there my love for fashion grew and inspired me to be myself and have fun with clothes. I went to Dubai Fashion Week which was an experience in itself (also I think my fashion choices might have been questionable) but I was still trying to find myself. Once I decided that fashion could be my forte I went with it. I put all my efforts into getting to UAL as it was my DREAM to go there (14 year old me dreaming).

After I finished my IGCSEs I moved back to my town in Manchester and went to college for 2 years. It was then time to apply to universities.

I GOT IN!! UAL!! I DID IT!!

Okay, let's go back a bit....

So I got in to 4/5 universities to study fashion journalism. I was so set on getting in UAL and was so proud of myself for doing just that!! After a long thought process and discussions with the family it was evident that London was not for me. I was devastated. Almost took a gap year....

I then applied to MMU through clearing as I missed the deadline and found that I got in for Fashion Business and Management. Let me tell you - BEST DECISION. 

​

Even though my dream was UAL,  I went outside my comfort zone and did the unexpected - something unplanned. 

​

Now in my final year and that one step closer to working in the fashion industry (I hope). Just goes to show that if something you planned doesn't work out, it's for a reason - everything happens for a reason...
